December Calendar of Events 2020

Maui and the rest of the Hawaiian island chain welcomed back trans-pacific visitors a little over 6 weeks ago under the state’s official pre-travel testing program. It has been over six months since the 14-day mandatory quarantine has been in place and it is a welcome change as many parts of the local economy are beginning to enjoy the influx of visitors.

More visitors are expected to return to Maui since Governor Ige announced the expansion of the pre-travel testing program to Canadian visitors, which will are slated to be welcomed back in the middle of December.

Although businesses and attractions are slowly reopening, we still must mind the necessary steps and precautions to stay safe and healthy. In the meantime, check out some of our great Maui No Ka Oi content!

Maui Alpaca Farm!

Nestled atop the rolling slopes of Mount Haleakala, sits an 8 acre Aplaca farm estate with a variety of hands on activities to explore. From retreats to fiber classes and Yoga with alpacas to meditation, this charming farm offers some of Maui’s most unique experiences! Spending time on the farm is a great activity to enjoy with friends or family.

Winter Swells Abound

Although there are only two surfing seasons in Hawaii, it will impact the beaches in different ways. During the summer, some beaches can be as calm as a lake, while in the winter the waves can reach monster heights. Understanding the surfing seasons can help you better pick which side of the island you’d like to visit.

Maui Winter Tips

Winter days on Maui and Hawaii in general are only about 2 hours shorter than days in the summer. Even the temperatures are not dramatically different unless you are climbing elevation quickly in places like Kula (on Maui) or Mauna Kea (on the Big Island).

Although you won’t be able to tell much of a difference between a summer and winter day, there are some tips out there to make sure you are making the most of your winter on Maui.

3D technology like Matterport enable buyers to get a feel for a property’s layout, while it allows sellers to easily showcase their property to anyone with the 3D virtual tour link.
