According to the November Maui real estate report released by the Realtors Association of Maui, condo sales in November increased sharply by 17% compared to the same last year. The Maui single family home market saw decreased sales number and prices.
November Maui Home Sales
Compared to the same time last year, median prices for homes and the number of homes sold slumped. November 2019 saw a median sold price decrease of 1.4% to $730,000, down from $740,398 in November 2018. Those numbers reflect 71 homes sold, 6.6% less than last year.
Sales from the start of 2019 reflect a different narrative. Overall year to date data indicates homes posted a positive upward trend compared to 2018. YTD, the median price for a home in 2019 was $743,000, up 4.3% to $712,175. The number of homes sold through the end of November was 1451, a 2% increase from 2018.
November Maui Condo Sales
Condo sales in November saw 140 units sold on Maui in November, a whopping 16.7% increase from the 120 units that sold in November 2018. The median price of the units sold saw a 5.9% decline to $497,550, from $528,650.
While November numbers were up, overall YTD numbers were down 3.5% to 1482 units sold through the end of November. The median price of a condo is up 3.1% from last year to $515,000.
