Kihei Shores Market Update 2017
Last year, Kihei Shores saw an incredible year of production with $5,222,703 in total sales volume which was good enough to average more than 1 sale per month. Although the average indicates at least 1 condo was sold per month, sales throughout the year sporadic and in bunches. May and September saw the most sales with 4 and 3 each. June was the only the month in 2017 to not see a sales. Compared to 2016, 2017 sales saw 4 less sales and about $1 million less in total sales volume.
The demand for Kihei Shores is strong because of its private setting, its location to the beach and rest of Kihei. Only 1 unit needed longer than 1 year to sell with more than 75% of the units being sold within 6 months of coming to market. Part of the reason buyers are attracted to the complex is because of the price points. 8 of the units sold last year were purchased for price in the upper $200k range, while only 1 unit was sold above $350k. Buyers can expect to pay anywhere from $350-$490/sqft.
