With 6 Makena estate sold in 2017 worth a total sales volume of $62,250,000, it was an extremely productive year for the market. Compared to 2016 sales, the 2017 sales of Makena homes outperformed 2016 by 133%. Interestingly, all of the homes in 2017 sold within under 9 months of being listed which is very impressive considering the steep purchase prices. Makena homes in general come with a certain prestige and immediately elevates buyers into a select group of people that are able to call Makena home.
All of the sales came towards the first half of the year with no sales being completed after early July. Across the market, the homes that sold were in the low to upper middle price point: 1 sale in $6 million range, 2 sales in $9 million price point, 1 sale in the $10 million, 1 sale in $11 million, and 1 sales in $15 million. Sometimes, a few Makena home sales occur in off market deals because of privacy concerns that the buyer and seller may face.

The highest priced home for sale at the moment, is a sprawling oceanfront estate that dreams are made of is one of the best Makena estates I have seen in awhile.
