Kilohana Waena Market Update: October 2013

Kilohana Waena is one the last neighborhoods that offers upscale vacant land for sale in Kihei . Located between Kilohana Ridge and Kilohana Hema, it’s hard to beat the central location of Kilohana Waena. All of the lots for sale are listed exclusively by us, the Dano Sayles Team, and for good reason. We have immense knowledge of South Maui, and this location in particular, because (at some point in time) we’ve all either lived close to, or grew up minutes away from, this strip of land across from Keawakapu beach.

Lot 18, under contract, listed for $395,000

This community is unique becasue of its location, just on the cusp of Wailea. If you’ve been deciding between a Wailea or Kihei lifestyle, look no further as this neighborhood offers both! Since September, we have had three lots reach the escrow stage of the buying process. More recently, two lots just entered escrow earlier this week — both great pieces of property, lot 19 and 20.

Located near the bottom and western edge of the neighborhood, Lot 19 is listed for $340,000. One of the best parts about this location is that within a few minutes time, you’ll be near the water’s edge on Keawakapu Beach, beginning one of the best beach walks on Maui!

Just north, across Ho’olapa Street, from 19, Lot 20 is listed for $340,000.

East and up the hill from 18 and 19, Lot 2 is listed for $525,000. The moderate price discrepancy between Lot 2 and those in escrow is because the neighborhood is built on an incline, which means the lots higher up have nicer views.

Kilohana Waena is one of South Maui’s most desirable “ready to build” custom home subdivisions. The location is one of the main reasons why as the neighborhood lies along the northern border of the Wailea Resort, which is highlighted by: The Shops at Wailea (for fine or casual dining as well as boutique shopping); 3 championship golf courses; and the Wailea Tennis Club. Just a few minutes back up north along the coast of South Kihei Rd. and you’ll be in the heart of South Maui’s largest town; close to Kamaole Beach Parks I, II, and III, Rainbow Mall, and a couple local favorite lunch spots, 808 Deli (for incredible sandwiches) and Da Kitchen (for humungous Hawaiian-style plate lunches).
