Wave Fest

Get ready for an exciting celebration of bodyboarding excellence at Wave Fest, hosted by Queen Ka’ahumanu Center, Science Bodyboards, and the Foam Company. This event is a tribute to the recently crowned 2023 Bodyboarding World Champion, Tanner McDaniel! Join us in honoring this extraordinary athlete and his remarkable achievements.

Featured Guests:

  1. Tanner McDaniel – The reigning Bodyboarding World Champion. Hailing from neighboring Kauai, Tanner is a truly humble world talent, and represents our islands with immense pride.
  2. Mike Stewart – A legend in the world of bodyboarding with nine world titles and numerous bodysurfing victories. Perhaps the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) in the sport!
  3. Science Bodyboards – Experience the latest in bodyboarding gear from this renowned brand with 20% discounts on all Science/Viper/Gyroll products.

Jake Shimabukuro & Mac McAnnaly Celebrating Songs & Stories on Distant Shores

Prepare for a magical evening filled with friendship, stories, and music as two extraordinary talents, Jake Shimabukuro and Mac McAnally, come together on stage. Jake Shimabukuro, a master of the ʻukulele, and Mac McAnally, a renowned songwriter, singer, and instrumentalist, share a deep connection and a history of collaboration. Their journey began with the legendary Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, and this special performance promises to be a heartfelt tribute to their enduring friendship. Expect to hear a blend of their own iconic songs along with familiar classics. This is a night of music that will resonate deeply.

18th Annual Whale Tales

Whale Trust invites you to join for the 18th Annual Whale Tales event, taking place at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua. This event promises to be a fascinating exploration of the world of whales and the ocean. For nearly two decades, Whale Tales has been dedicated to educating, inspiring, and connecting people with the latest research and discoveries about whales and the ocean.

This year, Whale Tales is excited to offer both in-person and online participation, ensuring that everyone can be part of this incredible experience. In addition to insightful presentations, participants can explore a community expo showcasing local artists and businesses, a Mauka to Makai Science Center featuring hands-on learning activities, whale watches with presenters, and a silent auction to support various funds and organizations working to restore Lahaina and its surrounding natural environment.

The Maui Pops Orchestra – Broadway Pops

Join us for a spectacular evening with the Maui Pops Orchestra, featuring guest vocalists Morgan James & LaKisha Jones. This annual sell-out Broadway Pops concert is a musical journey through Broadway and Hollywood, filled with powerful pop favorites that showcase the incredible talents of these remarkable divas. From Judy Garland to Tina Turner and many more, the program promises to entertain, uplift, and inspire. As an extra treat, enjoy captivating hula performances by members of the award-winning Hālau o ka Hanu Lehua. Hawaii Youth Symphony with Special Guest Amy Hānaiali’i

Experience the enchanting melodies of the Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony’s top orchestra, Youth Symphony I, under the direction of Maestro Joseph Stepec. Maestro Stepec, also the Director of Orchestras at UH Mānoa, will make his Maui debut, conducting this talented group of 82 students from various schools. Adding to the magic of the evening, the special guest for this performance is the six-time Grammy nominee and eighteen-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, Amy Hānaiali’i. This concert promises to be a harmonious blend of classical and contemporary sounds that will resonate with your soul.
