Hana Sourced Organic Scratch Cooking
If you enjoy fresh local ingredients, and love a good burger, then Hana Ranch is a must try next time you’re in Paia town. I’m all about Farm-to-Table restaurants, and this place is a real gem. The menu here is all inspired by and sourced from the ranch’s 12 acre certified organic ranch and farm out in Hana.
Some of the dishes that stood out for me were the ‘ulu (native bread fruit..tastes similar to baked potato), the sweet corn risotto (just heavenly), and the grass fed burger with sweet potato fries (arguably the best I’ve had on Maui in years).
Located at 71 Baldwin Ave just up the road from Mana Foods, Hana Ranch Provisions is open daily for lunch, as well as dinner from 5pm-9pm. Really unique cocktails, well rounded wine list, and nice selection of Maui Brew Co on tap.
My family has so many fond memories at this location. We dinned here for many years when it used to be Moana Café. It’s a gathering place for our ohana to have some good laughs and enjoy some wholesome local grinds.
My grandparents own a home in Kuau Bay View which is walking distance from the restaurant. My grandma and I really enjoy walking to Paia from their house when they’re on island. Parking can be a challenge during peak times so be prepared.
The Paia Real Estate Market
The real estate market in Paia is seeing some real positive signs. This is especially true in sub markets like Kuau Bay View (which is arguably even stronger than the peak days of 2006-2007). Inventory is very limited and demand is at an all time high. 44 Lae MLS # 366397 was listed at $929K, and went under contract after only 2 months on the market. This could set a new record high sale for the neighborhood when it closes.
