Annual Bazaar–Maui Waena Tech Club Huge rummage sale, onsite silent auction, plant sale, student projects, entertainment, food booths, crafts, and face painting. They will be serving Badua’s crepes, giving garden tours, and having a whole lot of fun. It is the perfect way to spend a family Saturday. Bicycle helmet give away. All children’s sizes, first come, first served, starting at 9:00am. Date: Saturday, November 14th, 2015. Time: 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. Cost: free.

Four Seasons Maui hosts the 26th annual Day of Hope Maui on November 14th, 2015. Run, walk, enjoy an oceanfront auction and breakfast to support the fight against cancer. Proceeds go directly to the Pacific Cancer Foundation. Date: Saturday, November 14th, 2015. Time: 7:00 am to 10:00 am. Event website info: www.facebook.com/events/1471848323112230/

3rd Annual Worldwide Aqua-Thon Event. The County of Maui Aquatics Division has been challenged to throw a 3-hour Aquathon in the U.S. on the same date and our 9 a.m. time zone. In 2014, there were over 51 countries that participated, over 84 pools with over 3000 participants. Let’s create one big aqua-splash around the world! Date: Saturday, November 14th, 2015. Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Art & Culture

Hula O Na Keiki, a children’s solo hula competition, is held at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Children from ages 5 to 17 years old will steal your heart as you watch them compete in their categories for the coveted awards and titles. Go on down for a weekend of Hawaiian cultural festivities at the 25th Hula O Na Keiki November 13 to 15, 2015. The weekend’s festivities include continuous live Hawaiian entertainment, cultural demonstrations and workshops, an arts and crafts fair, and delicious food. Mai Poina: The Trial of a Queen, Victoria Kneubuhl’s courtroom drama recreates Queen Lili‘uokalani’s trial for treason. The play entails the details and events in 1895 after Hawaiian nationalists failed to restore the queen to her throne. The fall out from the failed attempt resulted in the queen being tried in an American court for allegedly allowing the uprising against the new republic by her followers. The event is a great way to gain valuable knowledge about Hawaiian history and the injustice the Hawaiians have suffered. Date: Saturday, November 21, 2015. Where: McCoy Studio Theater. Time: 7:30 pm. Tickets: $28  (plus applicable fees).

Wailea Wines 9th annual benefit in support of community arts education. Wailea’s original food and wine event is a relaxing evening featuring the islands top chefs and vintners. Held in Wailea’s elegant Anuhea room, the evening includes generous tastes and samples- from Crudo to curry and Cabernet to Chianti- plus an exciting array of auction items. Habitat Maui’s annual Golf Tournament fundraiser is taking place on Saturday November 14, 2015 at Kahili Golf Course. The tournament will be a 4 person “best ball” format, with prizes for “closest to the pin”, “longest drive”, and several huge prizes for our “hole-in-one” contests  Call 242-1140 or visit www.habitat-maui.org for more details.  Habitat Maui’s mission is to build decent housing and to renovate substandard housing on Maui. Date: Saturday, November 14th, 2015. Time: 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Cost: $175 per person or $700 for a group of four.
