Kilohana Ridge: Convenient Kihei Living

Why Is Kilohana Ridge So Desirable?

Kilohana Ridge is one of Kihei’s most sought after neighborhoods for many reasons. The neighborhood is just a street over from Kilohana Waena and Kilohana Hema; sister neighborhoods in almost every aspect besides price point and construction. Both Waena and Hema are custom homes, while Ridge was developed by Towne Island Homes back in 2003. If you are familiar with South Maui, Kilohana Ridge sits on the northern border of Wailea, just above Keawakapu beach.

Since they don’t reside directly inside the Wailea resort, the perceived value is lower than it would be if located just minutes south; this is beneficial for a couple reasons, but mostly because buyers are getting Wailea quality at Kihei prices — or more simply, a discounted Wailea lifestyle. The community is just upslope from the Mana Kai, one of the premier “condo-tels” in Kihei.

World famous Keawakapu Beach

Bordering the renowned Wailea & Makena resorts ensures some of the best year-round weather on earth. Resort amenities include a five minute jaunt to The Shops at Wailea, Maui’s ultimate destination for luxury shopping and dining. Choose from internationally renowned designers and artisans or spend time looking for distinctive island treasures.

The neighborhood caters to and thrives off of residents who enjoy being on the greens (3 championship Wailea golf courses) in the morning and end their day watching beautiful South Maui sunsets at the beach. However, if you desire an even more laid back lifestyle, Kilohana Ridge is still a nice fit. All of South Kihei is at your fingertips as it is just a short stroll to S. Kihei Road. Kilohana Ridge allows residents to find the perfect blend of luxury, local, and outdoor Maui lifestyles.

As I mentioned before, the location of Kilohana Ridge is one of the main reasons why its such a desirable neighborhood. It lies along the northern border of the Wailea Resort, which is highlighted by: The Shops at Wailea (for fine or casual dining as well as boutique shopping); 3 championship golf courses; and the Wailea Tennis Club. Just a few minutes back up north along the coast of South Kihei Rd. and you’ll be in the heart of South Maui’s largest town; close to Kamaole Beach Parks I, II, and III, Rainbow Mall, and a couple local favorite lunch spots, 808 Deli (for incredible sandwiches) and Da Kitchen (for humungous Hawaiian-style plate lunches).
