Surfboard Shaping Workshop where one will learn the basic software skills and shaping techniques to design your own surfboard. It is a 3 class series and 1 private session. No experience necessary. Computer required. $850 for the workshop (materials included) and your very own 6’5″ surfboard! Participate in the first ever annual Maui Yoga Festival! Throughout the entire day, take advantage of the opportunity to experience yoga classes & workshops from some off Maui’s finest yoga instructors. There will be plenty of healthy food and juice options to choose from at the makeshift food court and clothes and jewelry for sale by local vendors. Childcare will be offered for an additional cost and will include keiki yoga classes.2 types of tickets: Full Day Pass 9am-7pm for $40 or Half Day Passes for $25. Date: Monday, May 30th, 2016, Time: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Location: Makawao Union Church.

The Charity Walk is one of the most influential and largest fundraising events across the state. In 2015, the event raised $1.8 million via walks held on Oahu, Kauai, the Big Island, Maui, Lanai and Molokai. All of the funds raised on Maui, will stay  in Maui County and will be utilized to benefit the local community and its residents. Date: Saturday, May 14th, 2016, Time: 7:00 am to 11:00 am, Location: War Memorial Soccer Field.

The Arts & Culture

The  Maui Lei Day concert at the MACC hosted by Robert Cazimero is always an awesome event! Enjoy the articistic showmanship, talent, and grace of Robert Cazimero, accompanied by contemporary Hawaiian music and hula. Preshow activities include hula and music in the courtyard and local lei vendors will be on hand with a variety crafted leis to buy. Sunday, May 1, 2016; Location: Castle Theater; Time: 7:30 pm.

Maui Classical Music Festival is a very unique event, you, the audience, will have the cance to be seated on and share the stage with ten world class musicians! Enjoy pupu and a no-host bar before the concert, and share dessert and champagne afterwards with the musicians. This year will mark the celebration of the 35^th anniversary of the Maui Classical Music Festival. When: Friday, May 13, 2016; Location: Castle Theater; Time: 6:00 pm.

Adult Fun

If you have never attended the MACC’s annual fundraising event, the Maui Brewers Festival, then this is the year to go, It’s said it’s suppose to bigger and better than ever! Every ticket comes with beer tastings from 40 local and national breweries, island-style pupus from 26 local restaurants, live entertainment, door prizes, and a home brew competition. Date: Saturday, May 14th, 2016 Time: 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Cost: $75 General Admission; $130 VIP, Location: MACC.

Baby Boomers Bash is a great event for the older crowd and is a chance to mingle with fellow baby boomers. A Prime Rib and Fresh Fish dinner with live entertainment, and dancing. Songs from 5 decades will be featured including some 2015-2016 big hits. The main feature band will be the newly formed Rock N Soul group, performing with flair and passion. Table of 10 is $750.00; Table of 12 is $900.00; electing to dance only, open seating is available for $45.00 per ticket. Date: Saturday, May 14th, 2016, Time: 6:30 pm, Location: King Kamehameha Golf Club.
