Wailea Resort's Restaurant Week Kicks Off This Sunday 11/7!

One of the more popular events in Wailea starts again this Sunday, November 7!  17 Wailea restaurants are offering 3 and 4 course pre-fixe menus, priced at $29, $39, and $49.  While this is not only an outstanding opportunity to dine inexpensively at some of the island’s best restaurants, it’s also a great way to support the Maui Food Bank heading into the ever-important holiday season.  A portion of your bill will be donated to the M.F.B. – over $13,000 has already been contributed through previous restaurant weeks.

A list of all the pre-fixe menus can be found here.  However, with so many outstanding options, I wanted to highlight a few meals, at the 3 different prices, that I know will be delectable.

Pita Paradise Wailea Bistro – for only $29 you have these menu options: to start, your choice of traditional Greek Salad, American Greek Salad, Pitza, or Spinach tiropitas; for main entrée, your choice of Chicken Parmesan, Lamb Medallions, or Spaghetti Bolognese (you can also substitute the Chef’s Fresh Catch of the Day Fish as an entrée for $10 more); and for dessert, either Tiramisu, Baklava Ice Cream Cake (pictured on the right), or Flourless Chocolate Tort.  Personally, I would start with the Traditional Greek Salad, have the Lamb Medallions for an entrée, and Baklava for dessert.  A traditional Mediterranean meal at an incredible price!

Longhi’s Wailea – for a mere $39, you have these outstanding options: to start, either Seared Tenderloin Carpaccio or Roasted Vegetables on Crostini with Goat Cheese spread.  Then you get the famous Longhi Longhi Salad, which is their take on the traditional Caesar, served with a one-of-a-kind lemon-feta vinaigrette.  For the main course there are 3 excellent choices: White Wine and Butter seared Island Spiced Ahi, Lobster Cannelloni, or Veal Marsala.  For dessert, you’re served Longhi’s unforgettable Tiramisu.  My choices would be the Carpaccio and Veal Marsala, two dishes I get regularly when I dine at Longhi’s.

Nick’s Fishmarket Maui – while the $49 charged is the highest priced menu available, when I looked at all the dishes, my mouth instantly started to water!  For an appetizer, your choice of: Calamari Friti (pictured below), Ahi Tiger Eye Sushi Roll (tempura style), Kalua Pig Potstickers, Greek Maui Wowie Salad, or Caesar Salad.  For the main course, your selection of Opakapaka, Mahi-Mahi, Roasted Chicken Breast, or Petite Filet Mignon.  To top it all off, a Homemade Apple Strudel, served a la Mode.  I recommend starting with the Calamari Friti and getting the Opakapaka for the main course.

Most of the specific preparations are listed on the menu, as well as the telephone numbers to each restaurant.  Reservations are strongly recommended as this is one of (if not THE) most popular weeks to dine-out in South Maui.  Bon Appétit!

  1. We dined at Nick’s Fish Market and the food was absolutely delicious. I started out with the Ahi Tiger Eye Sushi Roll (tempura style), had the Opakapaka for the main course, and finished off with the Homemade Apple Strude for dessert. We had a wonderful time together at Nicks, and I would highly recommend for Restaurant Week!

    1. @Larissa – Well this event has been taking place twice a year, usually in the months of May and November, but I couldn’t guarantee that it’s going to happen every May and November. The restaurants tend to announce the dates a month or two before the week starts so, if you wish, I can let you know when the dates become exact. Thanks for reading!
