This year the organizers are bringing back “Taste Education.” A special series that features Grown on Maui guests and was part of AgFest’s beginnings back in 2010. Our highlight of the day is undoubtedly the Grand Tasting. Headlined by some of the island’s finest talent, this event is centered around 12 chef stations featuring tastings around one local ingredient. The finale of the festivities decides which chef will capture the coveted Tylun Pang “Fan Favorite” award? That honor—created last year as a legacy of beloved late Maui Chef Tylun Pang—is decided by the public, with ticket holders trying all 11 dishes and casting a vote for their favorite.
