It’s that time again, where we highlight a variety of Maui events and activities for the following month that we know you will love! First up, we will preview and detail a popular 5k race, that doubles as a fundraiser for our island schools. Next is a returning island favorite, a cliff side pop-up lounge and restaurant that hosts some of the best champagne pairings on Maui. Finally, we go over a trio of world-class musical talents that will be performing at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Let’s get started!
Come join the community for the 12th annual Maui 5K presented by the Maui Ocean Center. Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 5th as the popular race returns to raise funds for local schools. There will be both a timed 5K race and an un-timed 1 Mile Run/Walk for keiki and all adults.
The Maui 5K seeks to promote health and fitness for Hawaii’s children by giving our schools the ability to increase participation in youth sports and recreation programs by providing additional funds to maintain or purchase new equipment for their physical fitness, play and athletic programs. With their main goal of wanting to help our schools to be able to keep our children healthy through an active lifestyle, they also seek to promote fitness within our communities through participation by friends and families of our children.
Proceeds from the event will be distributed back to the participating schools to be used to enhance or improve the school’s physical fitness, play and athletic programs.
