Swaying above the Kaopala Gulch deep in the West Maui Mountains, the bridge offers unparalleled views of the Kapalua Resort, Molokai, Lanai, and Pacific Ocean. Spanning 360 feet, the Kapalua Bridge can proudly claim it’s fame as the longest suspension Bridge in the entire state of Hawaii. Famed for it’s Pacific tradewinds, the bridge is built to withstand hurricane-force winds exceeding 105 mph.

Not only is the bridge a key passage route connecting various ziplines, it also functions as an amazing observation deck and focal point for the tours. During the rainy season in the winter, the Kaopala Stream 120 feet below is a stunning sight to see; the abundance of water pools in the gulch below before descending 80 feet as a waterfall into the gulch below. Numerous rainbows abound almost as a daily occurrence, whether from above, below, or surrounding the bridge.
Resurrecting the Kapalua Bridge was no easy task, let alone shipping the appropriate materials, equipment, and delivering it to 1600 feet of elevation through the old Maui Gold pineapple fields! All in all, to ship in the materials and equipment totaled well over 100,000 of three 40-foot shipping containers comprised of the pre-fabricated bridge components and a grade-all forklift.
