An important aspect when shopping for Wailea Condos is considering what kind of amenities does each community offer and how much do you value those amenities. A portion of monthly HOA fees cover the cost of maintaining the pool, so it only makes sense to love your community pool area if you are paying for it! While every Wailea condo has a pool, not all all pool areas are created equal or with as much attention to detail.
The pool at Ho’olei is very impressive. There is tropical sandy entrance with an amazing 19-foot waterfall. There are also two whirlpool spas, a children’s pool, an outdoor pavilion, a fitness center, private locker rooms, saunas. Additionally, the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa provides shuttle service to all Ho’olei owners who are Kulana Club Members.
As Wailea’s newest completed development, Makali’i at Wailea brings an exciting and fresh architectural style to the area. The modern flair of the condos is perfectly matched with impressive on-site amenities and a graceful location.
Keala O Wailea is a brand new construction development with a world class location and elevated views spanning across all of South Maui. The developer describes the project as a gracefully contemporary and Hawaiian inspired multi-family home community, where your life meets relaxation and the modern Wailea lifestyle. Sitting just below and adjacent to the Wailea Gateway Center, the complex offers a 2 minute walk to yummy dining options; just down the road are the Shops at Wailea where Wailea’s best shopping takes place along with many other popular Wailea restaurants. If the onsite pool is not your taste, there are 5 beaches all within a 5 minute drive; we also cannot forget the Old Wailea Blue Golf Course is just down the road and across the street from the Wailea Town Center.
The Wailea Beach Villas community truly sets the standard for modern elegance in the Wailea Resort. This Wailea condominium is sometimes called the Grand Wailea Beach Villas and it is directly adjacent to the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel and Spa. Completely built out in 2006, the Beach Villas consists of 98 units in total, which encompass about 10.74 acres directly between the Grand Wailea Resort and the Shops at Wailea. Located just steps away from the World Renowned Wailea Beach, one couldn’t ask for a more central and desirable location in the resort. There are 60 units in the 5-story penthouse building, and 38 units located in the A, B, C, D, G, and F buildings at the Wailea Beach Villas.
Palms at Wailea is a famous Wailea property, and is a favorite among visitors to the island. The area encompasses nearly 17 acres of land in the entrance to Wailea. It is located right across from Keawakapu Beach, right off of Wailea Alanui Road. There are 150 units in 22 concrete two-story buildings with tile roofing that was completed in 1992. The Palms at Wailea are well known for their visually stunning grounds, close proximity to Keawakapu Beach, and their contemporary design. Amenities include a relaxing pool and Jacuzzi with an excellent ocean view. Short-term rentals are available at the Palms but pets are not allowed.
The modern design of the Palms at Wailea condos has a pleasant Mediterranean feeling and offers three choices of size. One-bedroom units have two bathrooms and are 1,022 square feet. Two bedroom units have two bathrooms and are just less than 200 square feet larger. There is one three-bedroom unit that has three bathrooms and is 1794 square feet. Some units have been magnificently remodeled as well.
Wailea Ekahi is a popular beachfront destination for Maui visitors made up of 296 units in 54 two-story buildings that were built in 1978. The ocean front property sits on just over 10 acres of tropical land and is located at the south end of Keawakapu Beach. Access to the complex can be found on Wailea Alanui Road or Okolani Drive. Amenities include four large pools, two paddle tennis courts, and a beachfront pool pavilion containing a kitchen and several barbeques. Keawakapu Beach is also a quick walk away from the condominiums as well. Wailea Ekahi offers vacation rentals and pets are allowed on the property. There are 12 different floor plans available to choose from ranging from studios to two-bedroom units. The size of the units can be as small as 484 square feet and as big as 1575 square feet. Many of the units are remodeled and renovated.
Built out in 2007, Kai Malu is one of Wailea’s newest and most highly sought after gated communities. The neighborhood consists of 75 duplexes, with 150 residential style homes in total. The entire property sits on approximately 25 acres, located right in the heart of the Old Wailea Blue Golf Corse. The 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th holes directly surround this beautiful property. Due to the vastness of the neighborhood, views change dramatically from townhome to townhome. There are 45- 3 bedroom/2.5 bath units which consist of 1796 sq. ft, and 105- 3 bedroom/2.5 bath units, which consist of 1852 interior sq. ft. Approximately 1/3 of the townhomes feature a “reverse floor plan” with the Master Bedroom incorporated of the first story of the home. Short-term vacation rentals are not permitted, so more long-term Maui residents live at Kai Malu. Pets are allowed on property
On-site amenities at Kai Malu include one of the most impressive pool facilities on the entire island: A jaw dropping 75 ft infinity edge oasis with unbelievable views of the 1500 acre Wailea Resort. Next to the BBQ and spacious pavilion area is a state of the art fitness facility.
