With the official end to Hawaii’s indoor mask mandate and Hawaii’s Safe Travels program, Maui County’s calendar of events is well on its way to an exciting summer. Although April is light on events front, it is easing back into the swing of things with several charity benefits and outdoor festivals. We are anticipating an exciting summer ahead, so stay tuned for more!

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua is proud to announce the 30th annual Celebration of the Arts will be taking place at the resort from April 15- 16, 2022. Celebration of the Arts is Hawai‘i’s top arts and cultural festival celebrating the spirit of aloha through more than 60 of the state’s top artisans, educators, cultural practitioners, speakers, and entertainers. The Hawaiian Island Land Trust is proud to present their 20th annual Buy Back the Beach benefit luau. As a prominent Valley Isle event, the island style party under the stars raises vital annual operational support for Hawaii Land Trust. Tickets start at $250 per individual and are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. When: Saturday, April 2nd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Where: Old Lahaina Luau located at Front Street, Lahaina. Maui Kui’a Chocolate and Sunday Jazz have partnered up to host this event as part of The Jazz Maui 2022 Maui Music Series featuring distinguished jazz professionals. The live music begins at noon, chocolate tasting begins at 12:30pm. For the tastings, chocolate lovers should bring their own beverage; room temperature wines, coffee, and stout beer are suggested pairings. When: Sunday April 3rd from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Where: Maui Ku’ia Chocolate Factory, 78 Ulupono Street in Lahaina. Cost: $35/person. Tickets: mauichocolatetour.com/weekend-tastings-chocolate-laulima.

The Color Festival Hawaii is back! The throwing of colors will be accompanied by live music from Maui favorites Kanekoa, Marty Dread & Gretchen Rhodes and the House Shakers, Eric Gilliom & Vince Esquire, Dr. Nat and Rio Ritmo, Brown Chicken Brown Cow, and Anthony Pfluke. Also on hand will be Maui’s best food trucks to provide ono grindz and sweet treats. When: April 30th from 12:30pm to 6:00pm. Where: Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
