Six Day Tour Exploring Maui

Escape Adventures, a national tour firm, has launched a new and exciting way to explore the Valley Isle! An expansive six day adventure traversing across the island and its diverse landscape, adventure goers will experience over 20 of Maui’s different ecosystems ranging from Pu’u Kukui in the west to Mt. Haleakala in the east.

Across the continuous six day affair, the multi-sport adventure will include road biking, surfing, kayaking, and incredible hikes by foot. Not for the faint of heart, the tour will be demanding but offer uniquely Maui experiences not all visitors are able to enjoy.

Inclusive in the tour fees are all lodging accommodations, transportation, food/drinks, community gear, permits, and park fees. Also for the safety of guests, the six day excursion includes at least two professionally trained trip leaders, a mobile first aid, and a support vehicle(s).

Day 1: Cycling the West Maui Mountains

Kick off the journey along the West Maui coastline cycling across Maui’s oldest volcano. Then finish off the day winding through valleys culminating in an old Hawaiian fishing village.

Day 2: Cycling & Sea Kayaking

Ulupalakua views

Ride through the isolated scenic road of Ulupalakua passing Maui’s only winery. From this elevated views, you’ll experience sweeping views across Maui towards four other Hawaiian islands. Finish off the day with some light kayaking in the ocean.

Day 3: Surfing & Free Time

The best time to surf is in the early morning when the winds are light and the sun approaching its highest peak. With personalized and expert instruction, you’ll be hanging ten in no time. Finish off the day with free time browsing many of South Maui’s local shops or sun bathe at one of the many famous Wailea and Kihei beaches.

Day 4: Hike Mt. Haleakala

A full day in itself, Mount Haleakala offers it with a variety of ecology. Everything from volcanic landscapes to lush rain forests, you will see numerous Hawaiian plants and animals thrive, including some species that exist nowhere else in the world.

Day 5: Cycling Haiku to Ke’anae Village

One of the longest cycles of the trip totaling over 50 miles, you’ll find stunning ocean and mountain views with a lush green foliage backdrop as you may your way down to Ke’anae for their famous banana bread.

Day 6: Hike Bamboo Forest

As one of Maui’s most visited destination, Bamboo forest is exactly what it sounds like with a glorious waterfall at the end to take a refreshing swim in. The perfect way to cap off an active yet relaxing six days.
