The first PGA event of the year it set to kick off January 5, 2022 through January 9, 2022 at the Plantation Course at Kapalua! The event marks the 24th year hosting the event with an incredible field featuring only winners from the 2021 year on the PGA TOUR. The champions-only event brings fans and the Maui community together for a weeklong celebration of golf—all while helping support local non-profits on Maui.
This event is nationally televised to cold viewers in snow-covered regions across the US. The annual tournament of champions is certainly a boost for the local hospitality industry which also bleeds into the local real estate market.
An amazing line up champions highlight the event including: Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm (number 1 in the world ranking), Collin Morikawa (second in the world order of merit), Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau,Hideki Matsuyama (winner of The Masters in April 2021).
New Fan Zone and Food/Drink Vendors
Freshly minted sponsor, Tommy Bahama, will host the Tommy Bahama Relax Zones at the 2nd, 9th, 10th, and 14th holes with Tommy Bahama Chairs open to the public. The Relax Zones will feature picturesque views from their locations perfect for capturing lasting memories.
Tournament officials are excited to feature a wide array of local flare ranging from Asian Fusion to local Hawaiian cuisine including Outrigger Pizza, Like Poke, Castaway Café, Merienda, Sparky’s, and Big Wave Shave Ice.
Jackson Family Wines and their Kendall Jackson brand will be onsite as the Official Red, White and Sparkling Wines of the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Their wines will be featured onsite at all locations where fans (21+) can purchase alcohol.
Ticket and Parking Information
A variety of ticket packages are on sale, including daily tickets and weekly tickets, for the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Free general parking for the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions is located at the Lahaina Civic Center. Free tournament shuttles will be provided from Lahaina Civic Center to The Plantation Course at Kapalua and drop off at the Main Entrance. The shuttles begin running 30 minutes before gates open and stop running 30 minutes after gates close with all shuttles complying with COVID-19 county policies.
New in 2022, all Uber, taxi, Lyft and Ride Share vehicles dropping-off and picking-up spectators can do so at the Champions Gate (putting green entrance) onsite at The Plantation Course at Kapalua.
