Telework from Hawaii!
Launched at the beginning of December 2020, the Movers and Shaka (M&S) initiative was created to recruit talented individuals to the islands by relocating to Hawaii. With work from home becoming a permanent option for those able to “telework”, we’ve seen an increased amount workers from around the world attracted to Hawaii with their new found flexibility.
The M&S program was designed with the intent of attracting talented individuals to help establish a more resilient economy in Hawaii. For those who are accepted into the Movers and Shaka program, they will work remotely from Hawaii in exchange for uniques incentives and a commitment to give back to the Hawaii community.
Applicants who have applied and are accepted into the M&S program will receive a free plane ticket, discounted accommodation options, and are required to stay for 30 or more consecutive days. M&S is open to US residents only, must already be employed, must no currently reside in Hawaii, and must be over 18 years old.
How to Apply?
The applications for the pilot M&S program recently closed their application deadline due to the unforeseen popularity and interest. They will reopen applications for another cohort of Movers & Shakas in 2021.
