I’m so stoked for my buddy Zach Sato and his new spot Havens in North Kihei. The Saimin and Smash Burgers are seriously unreal and well worth the wait. They are doing takeout only at this time, so I would highly recommend calling them 20 minutes before you want to pick up your grinds.
Already a local favorite, Havens is making waves among the Maui community with its killer offerings including. The menu is reminiscent of waht Zach ate growing up, but enhanced with his 10+ years of experience as the former chef de cuisine at Hotel Wailea.
You can follow them @havens_kihei for the latest updates and when they are sold out and pau for the day. I got hooked on Chef Sato’s Noodles this summer during the Covid shutdown. He was offering pick up noodle kits on IG which generated lots of interest from our local community.
Chef Sato was formerly the executive Chef at Hotel Wailea, and also worked at the Merriman’s restaurants for many years, and his local cuisine is off the hook. After years of catering to mostly visitors, it’s great to see Chef Sato working his butt off in the kitchen and putting our insanely good food to our local Maui community.
