The Road to Hana is an experience unique to Maui as the windy one lane road flashes you back to a simpler time. The speed limit is 25 mph the whole drive and winds along a two lane highway that is a 52 mile trek from Kahului to Hana.
Due to the traveling time and the narrow roads, Hana remains not easily accessible. In other words, Hana is one of the very few places on the island that remain untouched by the rapid development on Maui.
Arguably Maui’s most famous and beloved beach, Makena Beach a.k.a. Big Beach, is incredibly special in the summer months. Due to Hawaii’s surfing seasons, the summer weather makes for the perfect big wave conditions. During large swells, it isn’t atypical for waves to reach 6-8 feet. Seeing these waves in person is an incredibly special treat.
Wailea Golf Vistas overlook the Old Wailea Blue Course
With an extra 3 hours of sun, get on the course as early as 7:00am or hit it as late as 4 :00pm. One of the best ways to experience Maui’s natural beauty is by hitting the links! Players can enjoy tremendous course layouts, perfect weather and stunning views at every course on the island. Maui’s golf courses sit atop some of the island’s most valuable real estate and house world class views only available to golfers!
What’s better than lounging poolside? Absolutely nothing! If you are able to make it out to Wailea and stay at a vacation rental, then check out some of the prettiest pools in town. Wailea Condos offer some of the best amenities available with some even taking advantage of Wailea’s best views. They also offer the added connivence of never having to leave your complex.
