The Wailea and Makena condo real estate market saw 132 units sold for a total sales volume of over $188 million. Only six out of a total of 16 complexes saw double digit sales figures, while 25% of the complexes saw two sales or less.
The most productive complex was Wailea Ekahi where it made up 17.4% of all sales in 2019. The Wailea Beach villas was on the opposite end of the spectrum with one unit sold. In terms of the demand, three complexes averaged less than 90 days on the market: Makena Surf, Wailea Ekolu, Wailea Elua.
The 1,500 acre master-planned community of Wailea has 14 condominium communities totaling about 1760 units. The first condo completed in Wailea was Wailea Elua Village which completed its first phase in 1976. The two newest established Wailea condo communities are Hoolei (completed in 2008) and Papali (completed in 2009). The latest Wailea condo development is Keala O Wailea.
