With a wide range of properties available, the North Shore market attracts all sorts of buyers to the laid back beach lifestyle. In general, the further you move away from the shoreline towards the mountain, the cheaper the property will typically be. It is the oceanfront, beachfront, and homes within 2-3 blocks of the beach that can command the steep 7 figure prices.
While there is certainly an appetite for pricey beach homes, the large majority of homes are priced well as almost 60% of North Shore homes sold for less than $1 million. Less than 5% of homes sold above the $2.5 million barrier.
Buyers can expect to pay as little as $200/sqft, but should know price/sqft can go as high as $2000.
