September Maui Real Estate Update 2019

The Realtors Association of Maui recently released their September Maui real estate market report and depicted a mixed picture for Maui homes for sale and Maui condos for sale.

In September, the number of single family homes increased from the same time last year, but median sold priced decreased.

Condos on the other hand saw a strong month. The median sold price of a Maui condo grew by 10%, while the number of condos sold declined,.

Maui homes sold through Q1-Q3 2019 vs the same period in 2018, are down a little over 4%. However, the median sold price over the same time improved 6.5% to $745,845, up from $700,000 in 2018.

September saw 118 homes sold, up almost 50% from last year were September 2018 only saw 80 homes sold. Median sold price is down 4.6% to $719,718, compared to $754,248.

Maui Condos For Sale

The median sold price for Maui condos increased by almost 10% in September to $540,000, up from $492,500 in September 2018. The number of Maui condos sold is down 3% to 119 condos sold.

On the year, condo sold declined 5.7% through the end of September, but the median price of those units rose 4.4% to $518,000, from $496,000.
