Maui Single Family Home Sales
August saw a new record for single family homes as the median price topped out at $837,500, while single family home sales figures dropped by 10% according to to the August Maui real estate report listed by the Realtors Association of Maui.
A little less than 100 homes were sold in August which is 10% lower than compared to the same time last year where August 2018 saw 109 homes sold. The lower amount of sales can account for the 19.6% increase in median sold price, up from $700,000 just a year ago.
The previous record high was just a few months ago in April where the median sold price was $819,500.
Maui Condo Sales
Maui condo sales number were even more alarming as sales dropped by just under 22%; however, the median sold price for condos stayed steady with a less than 1% decreased to $496,500.
August saw 117 condos sold compared to the 149 units sold in August 2018.
