Brought to market just this week, Grand Champions 101 is a stunningly remodeled unit with plenty of high end finishes to catch your eye. Located on the 2nd level and on the quiet side of the complex, this unit is your own private sanctuary to enjoy the ideal Wailea and Grand Champions lifestyle. Offering 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and over 1000 sqft of interior living, the unit is perfectly spacious for your own use or short term rentals.
In addition to the large layout, there is a 125 sqft lanai off of the main living area that can function as additional living space to create seamless indoor/outdoor living. The entire unit has gone through a top to bottom remodel, so every inch of the unit feels as if it was new. The ability to rent the unit out on a short term basis appeals to a variety of buyers, so expect strong demand.
The unit is listed at $749,000
Grand Champions Market Update 2019
With Q1 quickly coming to a close, no units have been sold so far, which is atypical for a complex like Grand Champions where it typically sees strong sales throughout the year. However, momentum can pick up soon with 2 units currently sitting in escrow. Compared to the same time last year, 2018 is outpaced 2019 by 3 sales.
For reference, 2018 saw 9 units sold for a total sales volume of just over $6.1 million. In fact, we represented the sale of 1 unit for a final sold price of $560,000. The complex is well known in the Wailea real estate community for its low barrier to entry and quick deals. A little more than half of the sales were closed within 4 months of being listed; the remaining units were all sold within 9 months of coming to market.

The current Grand Champions inventory poses an interesting glimpse into market with the majority of units for sale representing the upper price point of the market. Right now is a strong time for buyers to enter with 66% of the units being listed for longer than 6 months. The extended stay on the market is welcome sign for buyers who are looking to pick up a unit.
With units falling in a tight $160k range from lowest to highest, buyers should be aware that they are operating in the higher end of the market. However, considering the market is tight in this range, buyers have more room to negotiate a better deal as the units can act as substitutes for one another.
If none of the units catch your eye, stay up to date with our Grand Champions New Listing Alert.
