Wailea Point Market Update 2018
Considering the Wailea Point price point, the market is off to a decent 2018 with $13,350,888 in running sales volume. The year got off to a slow start with no sales in January, but has recently picked up since Spring and has begun to see even strong demand with the influx of summer visitors. 100% of the listings sold in 2018 needed 9 months at the longest to find a buyer, while 80% of the units were able to find a buyer within 6 months of coming to market.
Looking at the sales date, the sales in the community have been on the mid to lower end. Most notably, one unit was able to sell in the $1 million range which is absolutely unheard of and was a great opportunity to get into the community for well under $2 million. The $4 million price point has been the most dominant with 2 units sold. Buyers should certainly expect to a pay premium for their unit with price/sqft ranging anywhere from $1000-$2000.
