Island Hopping to Oahu For The Hawaii Top 100 & Honolulu Luxury

Hawaii Top 100 Realtors

I recently had the pleasure a few weeks ago to flying over to Honolulu for the Hawaii Top 100 Realtors in 2017 gala event. It was basically a big hawaiian style cocktail lawn party held at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in beautiful Waikiki, the venue overlooked Waikiki beach just as the soon was setting and made for a serene and joyful backdrop to celebrate Hawaii’s booming real estate market.

Myself with my beautiful wife Wendy, Judy (Carl’s lady friend & realtor), and Carl Middleman my newest sales agent to join my Oahu RE/MAX Team

All of my success could not be possible without my wonderful clients who have given myself and my team the opportunity to represent them in their real estate dealings.  A big and overwhelming Mahalo to our clients and customers for helping us achieve the #1 sales team by volume on Maui for the 2nd year in a row and #9 across the entire state of Hawaii! I want to recognize every single member of the team: Christine Arnsen, broker in charge; my son and business partner, Anthony Sayles, director of operations & lead sales agent; Erin Haywood, sales agent; Michael Scott, marketing director; Kim Gonsalves, client care/transaction manager; Slayde Omura, social media director.

Across the state, there are just under 10k or so realtors (some full time, others part time), and I just want to take the time out to thank my team for the stellar year and performing in a way that allows us to stand out in Hawaii’s noisy real estate market. I just want to congratulate my sales team and support staff who seamlessly keep the office running and allowing me the freedom to the live the Hawaii dream in paradise! As I like to say, when you’re living in Hawaii, you are always “Too blessed to be stressed!”

Waiea Luxury

After some mingling, there was a special afterparty held at the ultra chic and luxurious Waiea Tower in Honolulu’s hottest new neighborhood, Kakaako. The afterparty was first, a celebration to recognize the success the top producers; and second, it was also a marketing effort to showcase the unprecedented lifestyle of Waiea.

We were really shown the best of the best, the afterparty was held in an incredible 11,000 square foot penthouse. The Grand Penthouse at Waiea is an exclusive residence in Hawai‘i capable of rivaling some of the greatest penthouses across the globe. Waiea represents a new level of luxury in Hawai‘i and is the flagship building of Honolulu’s most distinguished urban neighborhood, Ward Village.

The residents of Waiea will enjoy a wealth of amenities. Outdoor amenities: vast infinity-edge pool with grand ocean views, poolside cabanas, barbecue pavilions, an outdoor event lawn, children’s play area, and a dog park. Indoors: residents have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center, resort-style locker rooms, luxurious spa, library, catering and chef’s kitchen, theater and performance room, indoor golf simulator, and quiet lounges.

Unprecedented Ala Moana Park Lane

Although these events tend to have a party atmosphere, it is rare to have such a concentration of the biggest and baddest brokers across the sate in one place. So it is inevitable, talking some shop and business opportunities will arise out of the night. I was personally invited by the Park Lane Ala Moana sales team to come down and do a private showing of their product. I toured the complex with Carl Middleman and Slayde Omura, my two new agents tasked with helping my expansion to Oahu!

Ala Moana Park Lane is a world class complex with probably the best location in Honolulu, bar none. Aside from One Ala Moana (high end but not ultra luxury), Park Lane is the only ultra luxurious complex that can claim the distinction of residing within Ala Moana Center. The complex sits above the Bloomingdales parking lot fronting Ala Moana Blvd. and overlooks all of Ala Moana Beach Park to the east and west out towards the deep blue of the pacific.

The $1 billion Park Lane allowed their first phase of buyers to move in after the 1st closings took place in early April. When completed, the seven eight-story buildings along the front of Ala Moana Center will have a total of 215 units, from 846-square-foot one-bedroom, 1.5 bath units to a grand penthouse measuring 6,273 square feet, with an 845-square-foot lanai, four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a den, an office, a garage and an elevator.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, Honolulu is the place to be plugged into, it is the present and the future of our state and is the shining star in the middle of the pacific. There is a reason it is the most visited island in Hawaii. It offers uniquely Hawaii experiences, while entailing a Hawaii influenced cosmopolitan vibe. I am always back and forth between Maui, Oahu, and really the entire globe, I really believe the world is ours to create our own future!
