I am back at it again with AREAA, the Asian Real Estate Association of America, a non profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable homeownership opportunities in Asian American and Pacific Islander communities by connecting international real estate professionals to forge connections in today’s global market.
It was not too long ago I was in Korea with AREAA building relationships and immersing ourselves in East Asian cultures. Today, we are in Miami exploring 4 brand new condo projects with rich investment opportunities.

Auberge Fort Lauderdale: Exciting Luxury
Auberge Resorts, a boutique luxury hospitality company, is set to open one of their newest projects! It is slated to be a luxury condominium in Fort Lauderdale and is developed in conjunction with 7 other partners, all responsible for their own particular expertise. Auberge Beach Residences & Spa in Fort Lauderdale brings the ultimate in luxury living to Fort Lauderdale’s most extraordinary beachfront property. They are exquisitely designed residences, decorated in rich arrays of indoor and outdoor amenities, complete with a tempting selection of restaurants, and a world-class Auberge branded spa.
They plan for the complex to be all residences with a mix use aspect to incorporate a vibrant lifestyle. In addition to the exclusivity, a highlight of the unit is its perfect location directly on 450 linear feet of pristine Atlantic Ocean beachfront. Construction on the stair case shaped building is set to be completed by the end of the year, with the second one finished in late 2018.
The W Residences at Fort Lauderdale
The Residences at W Fort Lauderdale is being developed by the Related Companies, is a premier privately held development firm with projects on four continents and is the largest owner of luxury residential properties in New York City. Related Companies also owns the Equinox Fitness Club chain and supports community efforts such as below-market-rate urban housing. The property is perfectly positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal, the complex presents a daring new vision for oceanfront luxury living. Boldly-designed and precisely-detailed, 147 residences have been thoughtfully re-imagined. Oversized balconies, towering floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic beach and city views set the tone of W Fort Lauderdale’s signature ambiance.
The complex will be designed to consist of a hotel component and residences that will be managed by Starwood Resorts; they actually manage all of the W properties and are the brains behind the already extremely successful W brand.
One River Point: World Class Allure
The third property we went to look at was River Point. This property comes with high demand because of the international recognition that world renowned architect, Rafael Vinoly is known for. This particular project will only enhance Vinoly’s reputation as it will be the tallest building developed in downtown Miami. It sits right along the river and it’s a super upscale design with large pieces of onyx slabs in the master bathrooms as it aims to set the new standard for luxury high-rises in the Brickle area.
They hope to break ground on this project in the 4th quarter of 2017 and complete it in the 1st quarter of 2020. One River Point is meant to be the defining statement of the Miami skyline with 2 soaring symmetrical towers, joined by a stunning glass Skybridge 800 feet above the Miami River. Riverside park. Residential resort. Exclusive club. Dramatic Skybridge. Each element delivers a distinctive living experience. Combined they create a truly unique destination.
Brickell City Center: Style Has No Labels
This new development in downtown Miami is the Brickell City Center and it’s development by the SWIRE properties. It’s a $1.5 billion dollar construction that is intended for mix use with a whole retail, hotel, and residential property components. The company looks to generate its liquidity from its they usually do listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange. The property aims to change the whole face of the downtown living experience with Saks Fifth Avenue acting as its anchor store, home to one of the hottest new rooftop lounges in the city, Sugar.
In particular, the condo component of Brickell City Centre are twin condominium towers totaling 780 units will offer an array of spacious floor plans, impeccable detailing, and impressive views. The main draw of this project is the access to the Miami lifestyle. Sugar, the rooftop bar and garden is located on the 40th floor of EAST, Miami, and offers cocktails and Asian tapas. I suggest relaxing and watching the day turn to night as you take in the panoramic view of the downtown Miami skyline and surrounding waterways.
