The Chinese Kite Festival on Front Street celebrates the colorful world of kites and international kite month. The iconic Wo Hing Museum on Front Street is a place steeped in history and is the perfect setting to explore traditional and modern kites, learn how to make kites and learn of the history of hear ancient kites and kite fighting. On the 2nd day of the two day affair, there will be a chance for a hands on experience at the Lahaina Cannery to fly kites with experts. Both days will feature a giant dragon kite, kite fighting and sport kite demos.

  • When: Friday, April 14th to Saturday, April 15th from 10:00am to 8:00pm
  • Where: Wo Hing Museum and special demonstration at the Lahaina Cannery Mall

Sacred Hearts School 45th Annual Bazaar, is an fun old-fashioned carnival with a lot of extras and is a blast for the entire family! Featuring some of the best local food, country kitchen with baked goods, live entertainment by some of Hawaii’s favorites, craft vendors, bouncy tents and huge slides, keiki zone, plants for sale, laser tag and paint ball, carnival game booths with prizes, petting farm, face painting and airbrush tattoos.

  • When: Friday, April 7th to Saturday, April 8th from 4:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Where: Sacred Hearts School of Lahaina

Adults Night Out

Enjoy the Kaiola Gala, the Maui Ocean Center Marine Institute’s very first fundraising Gala. The night includes a three course dinner and an auction fundraising event held in the Maui Ocean Center’s open ocean exhibit. The proceeds will go to support the mission of preserving Maui’s rare endemic corals and to the rescue and rehabilitation of the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle.

  • When: Friday, April 7th from 6:30pm to 10:00pm
  • Where: Maui Ocean Center in Ma’alaea

The Arts & Culture

Spend the day in Hana at the 25th Annual East Maui Taro Festival, it is a day of learning and celebration! The festival will feature an exceptional Farmers’ Market, poi pounding demonstrations, arts and crafts, food booths, non-profit organizations sharing information, as well as beautiful Hawaiian music and hula! Make the most of spending the day in Hana or make a night out it and camp! Either way, its an excuse to head out to Hana for the day or weekend!

  • When: Saturday, April 29th from 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Where: Hana Ball Park

Kamehemeha’s 13th annual Ho’olaule’a showcases the beautiful grounds of Kamehameha Schools Maui high school campus overlooking Central Maui and the West Maui Mountains. The festival is essentially Kamehameha’ School’s version of a craft fair. Complete with Hawaiian entertainment and cultural displays, games, crafts, Country Store bargains, local vendors, a much anticipated silent auction, rummage, wonderful fellowship, and much more.

  • When: Saturday, April 8th, 2017 from 9:00am-3:30pm
  • Where: Kamehameha Schools Maui
