The unit was last sold in 2003 and over the last few years has been on and off the market with no success. The unit has a monthly maintence fee of $632 which is reasonable for the resort area; the unit’s ability to be rented as a short term rental is a nice option if future owners tend to use it in that kind of way.

Interestingly though, this unit has a lower monthly maintenance by about $15. Listed at $725,000.

Wailea Ekolu Market Update
So far in 2016, there have been 6 closings totaling a running a sales volume of $5,345,000 while averaging a sold price of $890,833. Five of the six units that sold could be considered in the higher price point of the complex, anything above $800k is definitely represents a high end unit in the community. March was Wailea Ekolu’s best month as 3 units closed, all were above $700,000. So far only one unit has sold at full list price, however, it’s only an indication that there may be room to negotiate on units; in the end, it will come down to each seller’s situation and their willingness to accept a marked down price.
The lowest priced unit to sell closed for $560,000, the unit as a first floor unit with one bed, two baths, 866 square feet, and closed after a 4 week escrow. The highest priced unit to sell closed for $1,150,000, it is an upstairs 2 bedroom, 2 bath, very private, has unobstructed ocean views, with great rental history, repeat guests, and is fully furnished
