After a few years of sitting in limbo, the pristine parcel of land that sits just below the Wailea Gateway Center is now set to house Wailea’s newest condominium complex. It was initially slated to be a single-family residential community; however, those plans have been nixed and now A&B properties (a subsidiary of Alexander and Baldwin) along with the Armstrong Builders of Honolulu will go ahead with their brand new plans of an affordable (in terms of Wailea standards) luxury condo complex. They are close to finalizing their permanent plans and we expect more concrete information to be coming soon.

I do not want to put any specific numbers out there, but word is that they will be priced very aggressively and will most likely be moved very quickly as a result. From the very little details that have come out, the developers are tailoring the units to buyers’ needs. Something that clients in the resort always ask for is a view and they will get just that. Although they are keeping their cards close to their chest, they have told us that each unit will have unparalleled view of the deep blue pacific. A very exciting detail that can make or break a property, especially when buyers feel that they should be getting a view for the hefty premium they are paying.
