Keala O Wailea Holiday Blessing 2017

The Blessing of Keala O Wailea

It has been about 2 years now since the original ground breaking of the construction blessing for Keala O Wailea. Back in 2015, they anticipated for construction to be completed by the end of 2017 and they have been doing their best to stick as close to the original date as possible. As with new construction, there is always a worry that the build time lines may get pushed back, but the developers have been able to minimize any setbacks due to weather interference or delayed building materials.

It is a Hawaiian tradition to have a place of business or a new home blessed upon completion, it is custom to have a Hawaiian kahu (guardian or minister) come to the location and perform a blessing. Although today’s ceremonies incorporate some Christian elements due to the arrival of missionaries in the 1800’s, the blessing ceremony is rooted in traditional Hawaiian beliefs.

The other day, 12/20/17, we had the distinct pleasure of attending an evening ceremony blessing of Wailea’s newest completed condo complex, Keala O Wailea. The developer describes the project as a gracefully contemporary and Hawaiian inspired multi-family home community, where your life meets relaxation and the modern Wailea lifestyle.
Located just below and adjacent to the Wailea Gateway Center, the community offers a 2 minute walk to a variety of dining options and is just a short stroll from the Shops at Wailea where Wailea’s best shopping happens. The complex is 70 units in total and spread across 10 building clusters over 7 acres.

Although it was a rainy ceremony, the rain was actually a welcomed blessing; rain is considered a natural blessing in Hawaii, so it was an all around great night! It was a great time seeing many old and new faces among the Wailea real estate community and was complete with some delicious food.
The menu featured sliders, prime rib, and a s’mores bar complete with flame for toasting marshmallows. The night was neatly capped off with a detailed ice sculpture of the Keala O Wailea logo and was the perfect touch to make the party feel extra special.

Keala O Wailea Condos For Sale

As far as Keala O Wailea Condos For Sale goes, there are only 3 available remaining units for sale. The complex was met with strong interest when they first come to market because of the desirability of new construction. Buyers particularly enjoy that aspect because they have the options to customize their units, not have to worry about taking on a custom build of their ideal Wailea property, and being the first to live in the unit.
With over 90% of the units sold, construction is close to being wrapped up. The first 3 buildings set to close are clusters 1, 2, and 3; they anticipate owners  being able to move in during the early first quarter of the New Year. The developers plan to close the buildings in numerical order with building 7 being the last to be finished; their hopes are to have the entire community completed by summer of 2018.
