The Kihei Akahi market has developed a reputation in the Kihei condo market for its impressive turnover rate, desirable proximity to the beach, and increasing rental demand. All 3 key points are key factors contributing to the decision of buyers looking to rent out their unit while it’s not in use or for buyers purely looking to use it as an investment property. Through the first 5 months of the year, the complex saw a fair amount of transactions, however, the majority of the sales occurred during the summer where June and August were extremely productive with 43% of the units sold.

Another reason Kihei Akahi is popular among buyers is because of it allows buyers to purchase in an affordable price point while getting across the street access to Kamaole Beach Park II. The $300k price range is by far the most popular with more than 70% of the transaction falling within that range. One buyer was able to pull off an immense steal as they were able to close for well under $300k; although it was a studio unit, the buy was still a great deal because of the renovations done to the unit.
