Koa Lagoon unit 406 was brought to market in early March of this year at an asking price of $489,000, with that kind of price point the demand for this unit was extremely high. Our clients who were looking for an oceanfront complex in a desirable Kihei area and under $500k were just in luck.
On the very first day it was for sale, our buyer clients were ready to act immediately and we were able to get the under contract. After a quick escrow, we were able to close for full asking on the very last day of March. The unit was the perfect canvas for our clients to add a touch of their own and upgrade the unit with their choice of finishes, but the one thing you can never upgrade is the world class ocean view.
Koa Lagoon Market Update
The Koa Lagoon market is off to a great start in 2017; compared to last year, 2017 has already surpassed total sales in 2016. Over the last 3 years, there have only been 6 units sold for a total sales volume of under $3 million.
The complex fronts a sandy cove for easy access to swimming, snorkeling, standup paddling, and just strolling the beach at sunset. The lifestyle is the communities greatest asset and is one of the key reasons residents love Koa Lagoon so much. With only 42 units in the entire complex, the limited supply of units plays a key role in the low sales volume.
