January 2017 Calendar of Events

Celebrating The New Year

In terms of events on Maui, January is a rather quiet month for the island. It’s a time of transition as the new calendar year starts and the island population subsides back to normal levels as many of the visitors slowly return home. Two events highlight the month of January.

In about the 3rd week of January, UB40 will be lighting up the MACC for the 2nd year in a row for their UB40 Reunited Concert! Then to wrap up the month is the Chinese New Year, it is always a sort of 2nd mini celebration of the New Year as it is based off of the lunar calendar.
