Kuau is a tiny little community just after Paia but right before Ho’okipa beach park. A few friends of mine live in the area and I really enjoy the lifestyle it offers. There are some beautiful beachfront homes but I personally favor the kama’aina compounds, by that I mean the homes that have been passed down through generations with subsequent remodels and additions put onto the home.

Sprecks is also another popular spot on the north shore for luxury real estate on the north shore. Also there are numerous homes on cliff fronts heading north east that are great alternatives to luxury South Maui real estate.
