With great pleasure and more than half a decade worth of work at Ho’olei, I am proud to say that we, the talented Sayles Team are the Wailea experts in all things Ho’olei. Our team was honored to be the exclusive listing Team for 5 out of the 9 Ho’olei closings in 2014. What I am most proud of is we found the buyers for 4 out of our own 5 listings, we are doing exactly what our clients hired us to do, sell their prestigious Ho’olei villas at top dollar according to market prices. In addition, we have gone above and beyond to procure respectable buyers. In doing so, we have represented the buyers for 3 out of the 4 Ho’olei sales listed with outside brokerages. In total our team was involved in 8 out of 9 (88%) sales at Ho’olei for 2014!

Every time I see the numbers for Ho’olei 2014, I get so excited at the potential in what Wailea holds. Although I do believe in conserving (not preserving, two different theories of land management) our natural beauty here in Wailea, it will grow more and Ho’olei will stand as one of the iconic vacation condos. Like I said, 2014 was a kind year to Ho’olei with a total of 9 sales at Ho’olei working out to about 3 sales every trimester. Total sales for 2014 was just under $25 million at $24,415,000. The average sales price for Hoolei Villas in 2014 was $2,712,777 which is up 7.71% from the 2013 average of $2,518,571. Good indication to sellers that the market is on the rise and to the buyers that the villas will hold their value over time. The number of sales is also up from 2013 – 7 sales versus 9 sales in 2014.

Ho’olei Villa 23-5 gets special recognition as the fastest selling Villa this year, it entered escrow in less than a month at just 29 days. However, it is quite possible to pull off a fantastic deal for under $2,000,000. In fact, we got our clients an unbelievable steal at $1,690,000. Granted it was a bottom row unit, but hey, you’re on Maui to be outdoors anyways! The highest unit at Ho’olei was a pocket listing that traded for $3,250,000, a few $100k off the peak of the market.

Price per square foot

The average price per square foot for Ho’olei Villas sold in 2014 has risen and is reflected intensily in the ppsf analysis. 2014 landed at $979.10 which is up significantly from the 2013 average of $927.62.

The Hibiscus floor plan was the best selling Ho’olei Villa in 2014 with 5 sold. Maile floor plans were the second favorite of the year with 3 Villas sold. There was only one plumeria Villa sold, but it was the highest sale of the year (Villa 75-4 for $3,25M)!
