The Pacific Club Honolulu

After leaving the Montage Kapalua Bay, we decided to take the “back way” to the airport, a route that few visitors on Maui drive. Similar to the road to Hana, much of the drive consists of one way bridges, and even when it’s two lanes, it’s still quite the narrow highway. This is scenic, “old” Hawaii, and was really a fun way to go to show Yoshi a more untouched side of Maui. Along this route, we passed Honolua Bay, Kahakaloa, and Maluhia Country Ranches, one of the developer’s of Ho’olei (Martin Quill) first neighborhoods. This drive was just the perfect way to end our tour of Maui.

Dinner At The Pacific Club Honolulu

We were going back to Oahu to meet with John Harris, longtime friend, associate, and Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Honolulu. So we boarded our Hawaiian Air plane and flew the short 20 minutes a few islands over, where John picked us up at HNL and took us to his private club, The Pacific Club Honolulu. It was one of those places where everyone seemed to know your name, and it certainly was that way with regard to John. He actually had just celebrated his 20th anniversary of RE/MAX Honolulu here, and we were all greeted quite warmly and everyone was just as nice as could be!

The Pacific club is where a lot of heavy hitters do business in Honolulu. In fact, our host knew John’s father very well, and he came up and talked about John’s dad with great memories—it was really quite heartwarming! For dinner, I had an incredible bone-in, filet mignon, and side of steamed broccoli—a nice change of pace from all the fish we’d been enjoying. After our meal, Yoshi and I thanked John for meeting with us, and was already back to the airport. It was about as quick a jaunt over to Honolulu possible, we were probably only out of the airport for 2 hours!

Wrapping Up Our Oahu and Maui Real Estate Tour

What a full trip it’s been—I couldn’t really ask for much more being able to experience Oahu and Maui so fully with Yoshi for his first trip. It was a whirlwind of 3 days and where we saw quite a bit. I am already looking forward to welcoming him back to Hawaii and hopefully some others from RE/MAX Japan as well! There will be a big group of us rendezvousing back in Las Vegas for R4, the RE/MAX International Convention in March, 2015 at Mandalay Bay. I for one can’t wait to see John again, as he is always has the perfect suite for networking and entertainment!

Finally it was time to say goodbye to Yoshi—he was flying off to RE/MAX International in Denver to meet up with 10 other people from Tokyo and Osaka, to do their regional owner training. I’m sure he’ll receive a great deal of education, because it’s some something corporate truly strives for. And when you visit, you can literally feel the power of this company, one that is approaching 100,000 people in 100 countries. I am extremely excited to be apart of this continued expansion and will be sure to pursue my team’s growth and presence throughout Asia and other parts of the world!

Aloha!
