Although there has been a cooling off period in the 2014 Maui real estate market, we can anticipate a final surge in transactions made as we approach the New Year. I know I have already been urging buyers to get out there and make moves, but if there was a time, it would would be now! With the current trend we are seeing, the market looks like it will be leveling out and will provide some fantastic opportunities to the buyers who have been patient.

The surge is expected to move away from a seller’s market and back down towards equilibrium where the market favors neither party. Home prices are beginning to flatten out and buyers are more eager to buy now. We expect to see these trends continue to balance out over the upcoming three months.
